Strong criminal defense may help man facing murder charge

A man in New Jersey was recently taken into custody for reportedly killing a woman. Specifically, police said he stabbed a woman multiple times. The man now faces a weapons charge and a murder charge. He will likely need a strong criminal defense in light of the serious charges he faces.

At a little past 3:40 a.m., police said they found a 40-year-old woman stabbed in an apartment. Officials took her to a medical center, but she ended up passing away there. The man who is blamed for her death is a 37-year-old man who used to date the woman.

Police reported that the man had gone to the woman’s home and had gotten into an argument with her. During the argument, the man reportedly stabbed the woman several times before fleeing the scene. The location where the stabbing occurred is also apparently a hotbed of activity for a street gang known as the Bloods, which is said to deal in drugs. However, authorities said they did not believe there was a connection between the gang problem in the neighborhood and the woman’s death.

The man facing weapons and murder charges has the right to fight these charges vigorously at trial. Prosecutors must prove every element of the charges beyond a reasonable doubt before a conviction can happen. A criminal defense attorney in New Jersey will look for holes in the prosecution’s arguments and evidence, aggressively challenging them with the goal of achieving the best outcome for the defendant given the circumstances of his criminal case.
